Early learning centres are a fantastic place to provide a safe and secure environment for young children. They can offer a wide range of activities to help nurture and develop the children’s imagination, encourage social interaction and support the development of their communication and literacy skills. There are many benefits to working in the sector and it is a very rewarding career choice for those who enjoy watching children grow and learn.
In order to work in the sector you will need a qualification that is recognised nationally. There are several options available to learners including the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education RQF course. This is an Ofqual regulated qualification that will allow you to work in a number of settings including nurseries, playgroups and pre-schools.
You can start this course at any time and study it at your own pace. It is flexible and can be completed in around one year. You will also be eligible for an NUS TOTUM Student Card when you successfully complete the qualification.
The course will teach you a variety of essential childcare and education topics, which will allow you to build upon your existing knowledge and experience. You will explore how to keep children safe and how to work with parents. You will also gain an understanding of the different types of developmental needs of children and the factors that can impact these. The course will also provide you with a number of practical experiences so that you can put your skills into practice.
The qualification will lead to a Certificate of Achievement when you successfully complete it. It has been independently accredited by NCFE, which means that it is recognised by the qualifications regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland – part of the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).
On successful completion of the course, you will be able to apply for a position in a nursery, preschool or playgroup. You could also progress to the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, which would enable you to become an early years educator in a school or college.
NCFE is a leading provider of vocational qualifications, offering courses at a range of levels for learners in the health and social care, and education sectors. NCFE is an Ofqual-regulated awarding body and all its qualifications are awarded at an equivalent standard to Levels 1 to 5 on the RQF. NCFE’s qualifications are widely recognised and respected by employers. They are designed to help learners develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed in their chosen profession. In addition, they are also endorsed by professional bodies, to ensure that they meet the high standards required in their sectors. Cache level 3 and Early learning centres
