Located in a serene residential area, the community is close to natural greenery and has easy access to public transport. The development is also close to the popular Sunset Way for dining and shopping options.
The Pine Tree Hill Trail is the longest and most challenging trail in Fraser’s Hill. The trail takes hikers up to a summit that commands a beautiful view of the forests and mountains below. Hikers can get a bonus view if they come around dawn, when the mountain summits seem to glow in the morning mists.
The trail begins at the end of High Pines Road, near the Telekom Malaysia guest house. This trail is not for beginners; it is a calf-straining, uphill trek that works your muscles in ways no treadmill can. It’s also very windy on top of Pine Tree Hill, and the views are spectacular if you can make it up to the summit.
Despite its name, Pine Tree Hill is not home to any pine trees. However, the hill is named for a pine-shaped monument that is located nearby. The monument is part of the National Register of Historic Places and was built in 1847, just two years after Texas became the 28th state.
In addition to its history and natural beauty, the Pine Tree Hill Preserve is a great spot for hiking and picnicking. The site was previously inaccessible to the public and was protected by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority until a ceremony on September 25 opened it up to the public. In attendance at the event were state administrators, elected officials, and local citizens.
